Are You Coachable? Eight Questions to Ask Yourself

Tara Newman Episode 274

This podcast episode is the second in a series about coaching. Last week, I discussed when to hire a coach and some things to watch out for when choosing the right person.

Today, it’s all about whether or not you’re coachable and how you can make the best decisions about personal and professional development.

I have a lot of background in coaching. I’ve worked in the coaching industry for two decades. I’ve been a consumer of coaching and have worked with coaches personally for around ten years as well. I will share some of my experiences because they helped me commit and recommit to my values, goals, and purpose.

Coaching has helped me be more consistent and accountable for the things I want to create for myself and for my family. It helps me navigate any fears I’m experiencing and process them in different ways. Each time I’ve worked with a coach, I’ve proven to myself that I can grow and stretch without snapping. It’s about building a deeper self-trust.
